President Dan Montgomery was interviewed on WBEZ and WGN yesterday about the response from schools and unions.
And here's his official statement following the governor's announcement yesterday to close schools.
IFT leaders throughout the state will be holding a conference call on Monday evening to discuss the implications that this crisis may have on collective bargaining, our members, students, and communities.

Yesterday, Governor Pritzker announced the closure of all Illinois K-12 schools until March 31. Many universities across the state and the City Colleges of Chicago have already announced the transition to online learning.
