The deadline to register for the 2021 IFT PSRP/Public Employees Conference is just a week away! Register by Friday, September 24, to attend this year's meeting, which will take place in-person at the Eaglewood Resort and Spa in Itasca, IL. Please contact IFPE Local 4408 President Matthew Emigholz, at IFPElocal4408president@gmail.com, if you are interested in attending, particularly if you live in the Chicago area. The Local can help cover the cost of attendance for a limited number of members.

We look forward to being together in-person* again for this popular event designed to meet the unique needs of paraprofessional and school-related personnel and public employees. WHAT: 2021 IFT PSRP/Public Employees Conference -
“IFT Strong: PSRP & Public Employees – We ARE Essential”
WHEN: October 22-23 (Friday-Saturday), 2021
WHERE: Eaglewood Resort and Spa, Itasca, Illinois
The two-day conference will include workshops on important and timely union and professional development topics, including member engagement, equity and inclusion, mental health, working with transgender students in the classroom, trauma training, and legislative action. Participants will also have the chance to share ideas and experiences with fellow members. A limited number of scholarships are available to help defray the cost of attendance for members of locals that have not attended the last three conferences. * Please note that CDC safety guidelines will be followed during this event; participants will be required to wear a face mask at all times (when not eating or drinking). If the IFT determines it is unsafe to conduct the event in-person, it will be held virtually. Leaders and registered participants will be notified of any such change in advance.
