As of Tuesday, UIC United Faculty (IFT-AFT/AAUP Local 6456) members are on strike to win a fair contract They have been negotiating with the UIC administration since April 2022, and working without a contract since August 2022. They are on strike for:
Fair minimum salaries
Salary increases that keep up with inflation
Learning disability assessments for our students
Earlier notice of reappointment for Non-Tenure Track faculty
Due process for Tenure Track faculty

Sign a letter to Chancellor Reyes urging him to accept faculty demands and end the strike!
Donate to their strike fund.
Join on the picket line between 10-12 and 1-3 at these buildings: University Hall (UH), Science and Engineering South (SES), the Lecture Centers, and the College of Nursing. They will also have daily noon rallies on the Quad (just west of Student Center East on Halsted).
